Grief often feels like you're the only one going through it.

Thankfully, there are organizations dedicated to supporting you, created by people who have walked a similar path.

Here's a list of our favorite organizations that offer helpful resources, support groups, and retreats:

Widows

Never Alone Widows: A faith-based organization that offers local support groups nationwide and free retreats for widows with school-aged children, as well as for military and first responder widows.

Foggy Forest Hills

Widowers

Refuge widowers: Offers retreats for Christian widowers with young children to experience meaningful community with men who understand their pain and are committed to walking alongside them as they navigate life after loss.

Bereaved Parents

While we're waiting: Offers free faith-based retreats and nation-wide support groups where bereaved parents find connection and community with other moms and dads who deeply understand the pain of child loss.

Kids, Teens, & Siblings

Dougie Project: An organization that provides grief support for children, teens, young adults, and their families with helpful free resources, support groups, and podcasts.

Abba's Child: A faith-based nonprofit offering family retreats and camps for children, ages 9-16, who have lost a sibling or parent to death.

Promise 4 Hope: An organization offering free retreats that bring together bereaved families who understand the loss of a child or sibling, meeting them with care in their emotional and spiritual need.
